Proverbs 23 - Can You Hear Me Now?

Verse 12 says, “Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.” All throughout Proverbs, this statement is reiterated and driven home, yet again, here. Simply put, listen to wise instruction then APPLY that knowledge in your life. That’s it. So simple, yet we make it difficult.

We go throughout life making excuses and trying to explain “special circumstances” of how it is different in our lives. WRONG! Quit trying to rationalize foolishness, quit trying to “reinvent the wheel”, quit listening to morally bankrupt people when searching right from wrong, quit lying to yourself before it’s too late.

Listen to the wisdom of God, seek guidance from Him and mature Christian’s, apply that instruction to your lives, and live a blessed life beyond measure. Experience what God has planned for you, His child.

Lord, please forgive me for going my own way, for ignoring Your wisdom and guidance. Please help me to focus on You and apply Your wisdom to my life, to bless my life and others, all for Your glory.
