There are many, many great verses and lessons learned throughout this chapter, but I still get choked up on verses 3 & 4, “(3) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (4) and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you,”. If nothing else, that is more than enough. God gave His only Son to die for our sins, that we may be forgiven. God raised Jesus from the dead, which gave us new hope and established our inheritance forever! As Peter said, Praise be to God! We owe Him so much, more than we could ever repay. He is so worthy of our praise, and we are so unworthy of His love, yet He loves us unconditionally!
Thank you, Lord God for Your mercy, grace, love, forgiveness, and so much more. Thank you for loving us enough to send Your Son, Jesus, to take our place in death and pay the price for our sins. Thank you Jesus for willing giving Yourself as a sacrifice. I praise and worship Your Holy Name. I can never repay Your sacrifice and love, but I can and will praise and worship You! Amen.
