Verse 1, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Our faith is what empowers us, sustains us, helps us endure to the finish, for we KNOW not think, not hope, WE KNOW God has delivered, is delivering and will deliver all of his promises. For God is good all the time, He is faithful, He is just, He loves us unconditionally, and He asks us to have FAITH. (V6) “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” This whole chapter tells of many, many historical figures who put their faith in God and were blessed. (If you have not read it do so now). I can tell you from personal experience, I am blessed beyond belief and thankfully astonished (but not surprised) daily at how our God, the One True God, the Living God, answers prayers and rewards faith and obedience.
When you can’t see solution, have faith. When you feel you can’t go on, have faith. When life feels not worth living, have faith. When your burdens seem too much, have faith. When you feel there is no hope, HAVE FAITH. God is there, He is with you always. There is nothing that you will face that you and God cannot conquer. Sometimes we can’t make it, we aren’t strong enough, but God ALWAYS is. In those times we have to realize we can’t make it alone, but we CAN endure and conquer with God, have faith!
Thank you Lord for Your greatness, mercy, love, faithfulness, blessings, and promises. Thank you, dear God, for blessing Your children. We are not worthy, but You love and reward us still. You are the only One worthy of praise, oh Lord, and I praise You in the highest.
