Hebrews 2

This chapter shows clearly the importance of Jesus Christ, why He came to earth in flesh and blood and why He died and rose again. There is specific significance shown in verses 14-15, “(14) Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— (15) and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”

Since we, the children, were made of flesh and blood, Jesus became flesh and blood to share in our humanity. He came to die so he could destroy the hold that death has on all humans, that we may have life eternal! That is shouting ground! Because God loves us so much, Jesus came and walked on earth as one of us, to suffer and die for us, so we may never have to perish.

Thank you oh Lord our God for Your unconditional love. Thank you Jesus for Your sacrifice for my many sins; that You loved us enough to be punished and die for sins that I committed, that I may live forever. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to remember that You are always there for me, loving me like no other could. I praise and bless Your Holy Name.
