(1) My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. (2) He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Praise the Lord! We do our best not to sin, but we all sin. Isn’t it great to know that when we do, Jesus speaks to the Father, God, on our behalf, in our defense. When we sin but we ask forgiveness and turn away from our sin, we still should be punished, because we have sinned. However, Jesus speaks to God and says, “I died for him, Father, he is mine, I paid the price for his sin and cover him in my blood”. Then, you want to know the greatest thing, God wipes the sin away, as if it never happened! Hallelujah! It never happened! Thank you Jesus for paying the price for my sins, but not only my sins, but the sins of everyone. That’s right, Jesus died for your sins too.
If you don’t know Him, get to know Him now. He paid the price for your sins, which is death, so you wouldn’t have to die, and can live eternally with Him in Heaven. Don’t pass up that chance and don’t wait, we are not guaranteed tomorrow or time to repent at the end of our lives.
Thank you Jesus for loving me enough to pay that price for me, even though I don’t deserve it, you still loved me enough to suffer on my behalf. I can never repay you, but I give you all the glory and praise. Amen
