Jude 1

Whether you believe we are in the last days or not, you must admit that each passing day gets us a day closer. With that, we can take what Jude was telling us about those people near the end of days.

“ 17But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. 18They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires." 19These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

That is a warning to us all. There are those among us who care only for their own desires, and they will DIVIDE us. That is, they will tear us apart if we let them. They will serve as a distraction that can pull our eyes off of the Lord and our purpose. Listen to what Jude tells us to do.

20But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. 21Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

We must build ourselves up in our faith and PRAY in the Holy Spirit, keep our focus on God, His love, His will. We must not be distracted, we must stay firm in our faith and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. What else must we do?

22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.”

We must be merciful to those who doubt and do all we can to save others by sharing the truth of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for all of our sins, we must let everyone know.

Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice and mercy, thank you for your love and grace, please help me to share Your Good News to the world and not be ashamed, but be bold and brave, to snatch those unbelievers from the fire and set them on your path to righteousness. Amen.
