- This blog was inspired by a ministry inspired by another of old. A wonderful lady, Ms. Ruby M., spoke to our pastor, Bro Bill, about how she would gather on the porch with others to shell peas. While doing so, they would discuss God, Jesus, the Bible, their lives and minister to one another, support one another, and grow spiritually. This inspired Bro Bill to start a ministry of reading the Bible each day and discussing it with one another through text. While we can’t all be together on the porch, we can all communicate with one another, through text, and still discuss God, Jesus, the Bible, our lives and minister to one another, support one another, and grow spiritually. From that ministry, I was inspired to share my thoughts with others, who could not fellowship with us by text; hence this blog. So if we can’t be on the physical porch, like Ms. Ruby, or in touch through text, like Bro Bill, we can reach each other through the Internet. God is good, all the time. Through technology, the world has gotten “smaller” and we can all now sit on the “porch”, from anywhere in the world, and enjoy Shelling Peas And Ministering, all for the glory of God, our Creator and Savior.
