Acts 2 - The Holy Spirit

Acts 2 discusses the day of Pentecost and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. Everyone who was present and willing to receive did so and it changed their lives dramatically to the good. These were the loyal followers of Jesus Christ and the ones who obeyed His command to wait and receive. Others were bewildered and amazed at the Holy Spirit and the power within. The verse that stood out to me was, “ 38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."

The Holy Spirit is not just for those who were there that day, it is for everyone who accepts Jesus in their lives, anyone whom the Lord our God calls, you and me included. The God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are the same today as they were back then and we have access to them all. Praise God, thank you Jesus, for loving us so much. If you haven’t accepted Jesus, do so now before it’s too late. Accept Him into your life and allow the Holy Spirit to change you, guide you, direct you to a life of splendor provided by the Lord our God, the One who loves you like no other. Do so today!
