Jesus said, “17The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."
Praise Jesus, what an awesome gift. Jesus did not inadvertently die, He CHOSE to die for our sins, He WILLINGLY sacrificed Himself for all of us. That is worth rejoicing! He knew the pain, heartache, suffering, torture that He would endure, yet still WILLINGLY chose to die for our sins, that we may be forgiven and saved. Hallelujah! Believe and be saved today, don’t throw such a precious gift away!
